State of Qatar Takes Part in World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Azerbaijan

The State of Qatar took part in the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Azerbaijan, which was inaugurated by President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku.
The delegation of the State of Qatar was led by HE Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali.
The Forum held under the theme of "Advancing Intercultural Dialogue: New Avenues for Human Security, Peace and Sustainable Development" on 5-6 May 2017 focuses primarily on the topics such as the role of faith, religions, migration, human security, sport, education, art, sustainable development, violent extremism, business in building trust and cooperation among cultures and civilizations.
The Forum provides a platform to discuss the way forward to build societies based on genuine respect for everyone’s rights including freedom of belief, equal opportunities, and good governance as well as an inclusive framework of tolerance and respect for diversity.
The event brings together heads of governments, ministers, heads of various international organizations, senior policy makers, cultural professionals, goodwill ambassadors, experts, journalists, practitioners, prominent intellectuals and activists.
